Will the book really look like my child?

The illustrations are stylized and inspired by the information you provide: first name, age, hair color, eye color, distinctive features, personality, and an optional photo. The result is artistic rather than photographic, but the character will capture the essence of your child. The more precise your description, the more similar the result.
What is the difference between "Description only" and "With photo"?

Description only (included): our system creates the character based solely on the written information you provide.
With photo (+CHF 10.–): the photo serves as a direct reference to refine facial features, exact hairstyle, and distinctive traits. The result is generally more similar to your child.
Is the book available in English?

Yes, Pitiboo creates books in French, German, and English. The story and illustrations are tailored to your child. Select your preferred language when placing your order, or contact us at

What format and quality is the book?

The book is square, 20 x 20 cm, hardcover bound, with around 24 illustrated pages printed on quality paper. It is printed by a professional printer and delivered in Switzerland.
What age range are the books for?

Our books are designed for children aged 2 to 10. The story and reading level are adjusted to the age you specify when ordering. For the youngest (2 to 4 years), sentences are short and simple. For older children (7 to 10), the story is more developed and adventurous.
How does ordering work?

1. Fill in the order form (5 minutes).
2. Pay online, securely and simply.
3. Our team creates your book within 3 to 5 business days.
4. You receive a PDF preview by email. You can request free changes.
5. You approve the preview by email.
6. The book is printed and delivered within 7 to 10 business days.
What if I am not happy with the preview?

Simply reply to the email and explain what you would like changed. We carry out up to 2 free rounds of corrections. If you are still not happy with the final result, we refund the full amount.
Can I include more than one child?

Yes! You can include up to 4 children in the same story. Prices:
• 1 child: CHF 48.–
• 2 children: CHF 49.–
• 3 or 4 children: CHF 59.–
You can also add adult characters (parents, grandparents) at no extra cost.
Can I add a personal dedication?

Yes, and it is free. Write your dedication text in the "Message or notes" field in the form. We include it on the first page of the book. Perfect for a birthday or Christmas gift.
How long does it take to receive my book?

Allow 10 to 15 business days in total from your order:
• 3 to 5 days to create the book and send the preview
• 1 to 2 days for your approval
• 7 to 10 days for printing and delivery
If you have a specific deadline (birthday, Christmas…), mention it in the notes field and we will do our best.
Do you deliver across Switzerland?

Yes, we deliver across Switzerland. Delivery is included in the price from CHF 48.–. We do not currently ship outside Switzerland.
What do you do with photos of my children?

Photos are used solely to create the illustrations for your book, nothing else. In practice, they are processed by an AI service to generate the illustrated characters, then deleted within 30 days of delivery. They are never published, sold, or used for commercial purposes.
If you prefer not to send a photo, the "Description only" option allows our system to work purely from your written description. The result is excellent, just slightly less precise for facial features.
Is my personal data protected?

Yes. We comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/nFADP). Your data (name, address, email) is used solely to process your order and is never sold to third parties. Read our
